Since you need to use a whole number, I would round up to a grid pixel size of 163. Simply divide 5000 by 31 to get 162.74 px for the grid size. So using the same map, it has image dimensions of 5000x7000. To find the grid pixel size, you would divide the image size by the number in parentheses for each map. The second way is to set the grid pixel size in maptools for each map. That would work perfectly, but would take a bit of time per map. For example the map "ch2_Cemetery_Ossuary(31x43)" would need to be resized by taking the grid squares and multiplying by 100. You need to resize each image with a photo editor of some sort. The first way would be the best but would also take time. Maptools does not let you alter image sizes within it like that, but I did test out a couple maps to see if I could get it to work. Part of the best practices for those is to have the image be larger than the room size you are using for when people zoom in. Most of my maps are designed for sites like roll20 or foundry where you can adjust the image size to fit the grid size you want. I had actually never heard of maptools before, but I just took a look at it. It makes setting them up in Roll20 a breeze to use.įor those using other VTTs, such as Foundry, you simply need to set a room by the grid dimensions in the map titles. Additionally, maps like Fort Knucklebone and the Flying Fortress come with both outside and inside variants.īest of all, you can download full size versions of them all for free by following this link!Īs with all my maps, the maps that are recreations from the book are all fully compatible with the premade Roll20 module! Simply drag, drop, and stretch from corner to corner of the map room and they will align with all the premade dynamic lighting lines. All told there are 77 maps for every single chapter, including maps for random encounters and for every location on both the Path of Devils and Path of Demons in the chapter 3 and locations such as Zariel’s Flying Fortress, the Wandering Emporium, and more. The images here are just a sampling of the maps I've made. ![]() I recently completed my project of making maps for BGDiA, and I wanted to share them with you. ![]()
